Just curious, is Iberia changing their award chart for flights touching the US?  Why not just transfer BA avios to IB avios and book through them?

Lol. They're still holding on to their victory over Spain in 1588, but in terms of Avios, I think Spain has them beat now.

IB Avios can book USA/domestic flights? Or only international?

Why wouldn't they be able to book domestic?

So what happens if I book before February and then switch the flight until after ate they going to require more miles to switch?
so long as you stick to the same route and cabin your fine, you'll just lose the fees you paid on the first one

guess you are right, I switched flights on cx j after last year's ba devaluation and paid around 50$ which was the same as the tax amount, must've confused the two

I thought on domestic you only pay the $5.60 tax to switch? The same as cancelling it.

Correct. "Changing an award incurs a $55 penalty, but the cost to cancel an award is the lessor of taxes paid or $55." - Dan

that's why I initially said what I said, didn't think switching is worse than canceling, albeit the fact that you aren't redepositing miles and rebooking
