Got this message yesterday and today:
"You've reached your mobile provider's limit of 50 tweets received/day. DMs & sending Tweets not affected. "
Seems like it's per 24 hour period

I only want to be notified for specific accounts not all tweets.

You select which account you get notified from.

The app works best if you have a smartphone it is the way to go.

I guess I'll try that out, though I like seeing the texts as they will come through if you are in an area with bad coverage quicker then a notification.
