I need ideas of what I could take to work to eat for lunch. Typically I would just go out to eat and grab something, but I'm trying to not do that anymore.Anyone have any ideas that are not too messy, and will fill me up?
Since someone mentioned the crock pot idea, why not bring a rice cooker?
If you are looking for a lunch that will fill you up, try preparing two items like a sandwich+soup, pasta+salad, chicken nuggets+rice, tuna+french fries. Single-item lunches will leave you wanting more.
If you have a microwave at work, freeze leftover soup in small containers
cold shnitzel goes great with lettuce
or a sandwich maker+1If you have a microwave at work, freeze leftover soup in small containers
You would of course need to deal with the kashrus of these devices
Nothing like an office I know that puts up a huge pot of fully loaded cholent on Wednesday for Thursday's lunch.
Considering the amount of Jews on this forum and the fact that this thread is about food, one would think there would be a lot more posts....... I mean, our holidays tend to be themed.... "They tried to kill us, we won, lets eat"
