Re-instating Expired AA Miles

Anyway to do reinstate without paying the crazy fees. I called Advantage and they claim that they stopped the Re-Engage ChAAlenge and no longer do it. I also cant seem to find any expired car rentals for that period!

i just spoke to them 10 min ago they offered it to me  30$ to join and for 50k miles 1 RT flight 75K> 2 RT a puddle flights works too

How did you get thru? I have been calling for the last hour and the automated continuously states they are too busy and hangs up on me

If you guys mean opening a CC for the signup bonus, that won't work as it needs to be BASE miles.

i got a rental receipt from jun2014
my miles expired july 2014 but natinal cant find the RA in there records any ideas on what i should do?

The CC option doesn't work anymore? And im assuming transferring from SPG wouldn't qualify either?

What do you mean by credit card option? Spending 5k on an AA credit card will work as that is base miles but any bonus miles won't count.

Not sure about SPG.
