Bought $10,000 from the US Mint and now the banks won't take it?

For every $40 worth of coins deposited at a coinstar coin counting machine, in exchange for an Itunes card you get an additional $10 bonus.

These cards get just about face value if not more on Ebay.

If you have time and patients you make be able to to take advantage. But hurry ends March 6

He didn't get $10,000 - he is just offering his advice on what you can do with your $10,000

I've done the coin counter at TD bank a couple of times (not with too many coins). there is no fee for it. one of the times I went, before they gave me the cash they asked if I had an account with them. I said no, and they marked something down, not sure what that meant...

Did they ask for ID? If not then what could they possibly mark down?

they did not ask for ID. I think they were just counting how many members were doing the coin counter and how many non-members. maybe if things get to outta hand they'll make it only for members. unless that's their way of getting you into their bank...

when I told them I was not a member, they started praising themselves to me saying how they have the best hours of any banks, etc. etc...

Someone just told me they take 6% for non-members, maybe in depends on the branch.

Slightly OT: Where can I deposit less than $500 of loose (not rolled) coins? I'm not referring to $1 coins, just mixed coins.
