help with juror letter

I have received in d past 2 letters regarding to come as a juror in NY but have throne them away, today I received a letter saying final notice of delinquency and if I'm not appearing in court until 10 days I will get a fine of $1000, my question is does this mean anything can they fine me and that can go on my credit report as a judgement?  or I can just throw them away like d others and nothing will happen?  Pls share your experiences and advice thanks

I don't remember the exact language but I got quite a few threatening letters.

You will be fined and a it will go on your credit. It will be up to you to prove you didn't get the letters and get it removed from your CR. So here is my advice. Get your sorry a** to court!

Perhaps when you file for all your government benefits, you can also get a free attorney to represent you and bail you out of jail.
