They'll probably send both a certified letter (which you must sign for) and a regular letter, regarding the fine and delinquency. It WILL show in your credit report as a judgement against you, which doesn't look very good. You won't just be able to get it off your report by going to the CRA's and arguing you never got a letter. You would need to actually go back to court and argue you never got both letters (good luck with that), and you would have to prove that the mailing system didn't work twice with you. Which is of course impossible since the regular letter won't come back as returned and you will probably refuse to sign for the certified one. So basically you will be stuck with that fine. My advice is to just go to court, that way you don't have to pay a fine and you do your duty as a citizen.

One was pretty bad.

As opposed to the other threads about jury duty here?

Out of the hundreds of people I know and speak with I've never heard of this happening to anyone, so either there's more to the story or she doesn't know what she's talking about.

Well, maybe it does'nt matter to you as the one whose writing it, but its' a problem for those whore reading it.
i was only looking at the apostrophes, not the ones you omitted
Plus the fact that the ones with apostrophes omitted wouldn't be legitimate contractions even with the apostrophes (ie who is would be who's and who are would be who're).

wasnt questioning it, just saying i had never seen it
;D For good reason - even with the apostrophe it just looks wrong.

Why isn't who're legitimate?

Lol, guess I wasn't paying proper attention after the first one (whose and who's).

Does spacing between words count as grammar ;)
