Meh, you wanna discuss people who eat  on yom Kippur, mechallel shabbos when no one is looking?
What's to say?

That's not orthoprax...  That completely non-observant. Orthoprax people adhere to the rules for a reason other than belief, be it social or communal attachment, or merely cultural significance.

Non of those are reasons why not to eat a cheeseburger when out of town. Of course the sneak a little snack on yom Kippur!

I do many things in private which I don't do publicly for social, communal and cultural reasons.......

There are obviously different levels.  Completely (Privately) Orthoprax, Publicly Orthoprax, and then On-The-Surface Orthoprax, which is what you're describing.  But by definition, that's not Orthopraxy.

How about we rate members on a scale of 1-10?  :P

I never thought about this but what does this site look like on a Saturday? You are one of the few who would know... forks galore?

There are a couple of dead hours, though. I was always curious about those.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Who came up with the name Orthoprax? It reminds me of a story my coworker told me a few years ago. My coworker grew up in Monsey back in the day so she knows orthodox jews very well. so one Saturday morning she walks into a dunkin doughnuts in Nyack and saw a chasidish dude on his cell drinking a coffee. She could not believe what she was seeing even her husband had to do a double take.
It must have been his Shabbos morning cup of coffee.

Nu, did he bench with a mezuman after the cheeseburger? Did he make Kiddush before the snack?

I do. I was always curious about the people posting during the gray time when Israel and America are in middle of shabbos.

What is the big deal with a cheeseburger? Show me someone that says they follow 100% of the rules 100% of the time and I will show you a liar.  :)

And that represents the difference between Dan and CBC
Oh really.

An Open Orthodox rabbi who couldn't take the heat, whining that they are just like chabbad and should be left alone is pathetic.

The chabbad mahalach in kiruv is totally uncompromising of their values. Yes, they are "open" to accepting everyone into their tent but only on their rules.

OO on the other hand are total sell outs, who justify themselves by telling us that they are making Judaism more accessible to the irreligious.
In reality they are simply making Judaism less religious. Then of course the result is that the irriligious feel comfortable...

And you, my friend, completely missed the point of my post.

And he ain't OO.

He's an OO apologist who wants to compare them to chabbad. Frankly, if I would be chabbad I would be disappointed with the comparison
