Yeah, but I never paid attention to how charges post on your credit card when it's charged in a different time zone. It goes according to the vendor charging it or the card carrier?

Interestingly enough,  the receipt for cards I sent last night approx 9:30 PM EST all said Fri Jan 1, though the pending purchase says 12/31

I don't think so, but it seems that if the gift code wasn't applied yet it can be manually added to any account over the phone.
