if not applied to the airbnb account the gift cards expire and then the charge gets reversed.

I have credits applied to my account, I got a email that the credits will expire 12/29/16.

That looks like referral credit because a) it's $20 b)off min of $75, and c) they write "will be applied to your first booking".
