I used my younger brother as the mohel. He did a good job. I've been getting unsolicited comments from doctors that it was a good job. I wonder if they also comment about it to not obviously frum people.
:o

What would be considered a "bad" job?

I don't know. But the doctor at Boston Childrens last week told me he'd seen a lot of not as good ones.

Anybody know the cost of a bris in Chicago?
I was at one this week and it's around 25 per person.
That is crazy.

That is legitimately crazy.  I'm sure you could pull it off for less. Certainly at least if  you did it as a drop off, and just bought platters from the caterer.

So...back to this again.

Lakewood has a gemach where they give you everything for a basic bris for 75 people, cost is ~$250. Then you need people to set it up, etc.

Has anyone here ever utilized that? How did it go?

In Lakewood? Not a lot, most people will maybe take a bagel or donut at most. Just have enough food for your family.
