just finished booking BOS-LHR upper class 63K ana I have to get my own flights to and from BOS, whats the shortest time possible to make a transfer in BOS, also does anyone think it's worth it to use 17K VS for the airport chauffeur service?  I'm thinking of doing it just to experience the limobike

I just tried BOS-LHR on co.com and found avail on 7/12 and 7/13

FYI, on ANA I am pretty sure you will only get "RQ" for VS. Usually Co.com is the way to go for searching on VS. You are looking for flight #'s CO9xxx (4 digits starting with a 9), which is the CO codeshare #'s for VS flights.

Under the flight info CO.com will display a message that looks like "Flight CO 9692 is operated by Virgin Atlantic Airways. "

CO is not always accurate, sometimes showing seats that aren't available.

Ok, not to hijack the thread (ok maybe a little)...

We are trying to book a week in July (sun-fri) and hit up CDG and LHR. It has to be the the first 2 weeks because of "the 3 weeks"
So far, i found ORD-LHR on 7/3 via IAD on UA and VS (VS is in biz-is that not upper class?)
The  i have LHR-CDG on 7/6 via FRA on LH.
That combination comes out 75k CO + $105 in taxes. (not sure what it would be with ANA)

I am trying to get from CDG to ORD on Friday 7/8.

1) Should i just stick to one of the 2 (LHR or CDG) and if so, which one. (we have never been to either)
2) Is there a better way to be booking this combo? AA has availability but would be 200k per person and nothing between CDG and LHR

Regarding your second point, AA.com isn't going to show availability between LHR and CDG, IIRC, because they don't fly that route. For OW availability, I use BA's site.
This really doesn't help you, because its still a bunch to get across the pond, but its good to know.

In terms of getting across the channel, just so you know, there are flights (in gasp, coach!!) for under $100 on 7/6 direct to Paris (try area airports). Obviously, it depends if you and Mrs. David are the type where flying is the fun part or not.

Might I suggest checking out trip reports and other such items in that section for the forums when deciding which city to visit. I think I would likely do Paris over London only because I really fell in love with that city when I was there last month, but to each his own.

It looks like it going to be LHR.

I found availability on CO going ord-fra-lhr-bos-ord for 105k each way in biz/first
If i book it on ANA, it would be 68k in biz and 100k in first.
The ORD-FRA-LHR portion is on LH and CO calls it business
The LHR-BOS-ORD portion is on VS/UA. CO calls it business as well but i believe it is upper class which i thought was more like first.

If i have ANA ticket it for me, would they classify this as business and charge me 68k or first and charge me 100k?
Any reason not to book this via ANA and save the 74k?

VS doesn't have First.  Upper Class is business.
ANA will charge YQ for LH flights.  No idea how much.

It seems CO is charging YQ as well.
The total for the itinerary is 210k + $601.00 (2 pax)

If VS is really biz, can you suggest a better way of flying to/from LHR? I heard VS is supposed to be amazing. Is there a better first class out there that flies this route?

CO doesn't charge YQ.
Those are LHR premium class taxes.

I guess its safe to assume ANA would charge me the same premium class taxes?

I heard VS is supposed to be amazing.
Their 747 is nice biz seats but their  airbus flights have narrow business class seats but still good.
