Got a voicemail from El Al asking for a call back. 917 number.
Call them back or don't waste my time?

Total time spent on previous interviews with transcriptions trhat were rejected is north of 10 hours.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

917 number is strange...
Maybe they want to offer you a free flight to give a report like Sam :)

You're skeptic about the number?

917 number is not a cause for concern. They have reps in NYC. I recall interacting with one about a year ago.

It's been discussed here. They are retrofitting the 787 and renumbering business seat from 1 instead of 9

Two Random El-Al questions:

- When selecting my meal for my upcoming trip, the return leg (TLV-EWR) has 3 Strictly Kosher options - strictly Kosher, Strictly Kosher Child, and Strictly Kosher fish. The outbound leg (JFK-TLV) has only the latter two - what is the difference? (It's a 5pm flight, I am assuming it's dinner), do I just PUTPAC?

- Is it even worth signing up for Matmid? This is my first trip to Israel in 7 years, but with two kids in HS, I might be spending more time there in the future.

What's the downside in signing up for free through the app?

The strictly kosher "regular" meal may be called Regal on the outbound

May be worth creditting to Qantas instead. You can also pool miles between family members if there are a few of you.

+1 crediting to Qantas seems way smarter.  Also great for flight bookings that include El Al, AA and/or BA together.  For whatever reason, Iíve seen a lot of smoking deals lately with these flight combos.

Forgive my ignorance, are you referencing when they swap in the new plane configurations that no longer have first class and instead have the new business class product?
