Happened to notice this on El Al's Hebrew Facebook page today -

Someone posted a message on the wall (in Hebrew) asking when flights to Miami will commence.

Has anyone ever gotten in writing the maximum dimensions El Al will permit for a personal item to carry on board. (not the hand luggage allowance) The El Al site does not appear to have any mention of personal items and certainly I cannot find any dimensions listed. Emailed El Al multiple time but they choose not to respond. My concern is connecting through Europe that the US carrier to Europe will allow me to bring on board a personal item, that El Al may turn down once I get to Europe....
