Don't get it - how can they say that you made a decision?

AA canceled your flight and offered you another flight that night in Economy but you can only fly Business. BA wasn't an option because early morning and you want to fly with AA only. leaving Thursday is not an option since you can only leave on Wednesdays...

Good point, perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my argument.
Just left her a message stressing that and that I'd rather get this resolved with AA rather than ask the DoT their opinion on the matter.

This is ridiculous! In ANY other industry when such story would happen they would run after the client to make the client happy. This is the only industry where customer service will alway act like a$$ h0&e$ its mind boggling, and for that reason I'm tricking the airlines every day, when anyone tells me that its Geneiveh, my answer is always that with airlines there is the Klal in place "Haguynev Min Hganiv Puter"   #revenge

You're mixing up with Israeli law. I think with Israeli law you're right but not with EU.
