Believe me, travel insurance is a hood investment
Flown on countless flights, have never needed it.
How would that be a good investment?

Not for delay, but if lost yes
Oh trust me, if these bags are lost they are going to cough up every single dime.

Seems like Sapphire Preferred covers delayed bags ($100 per pax per day up to 5 days) even at origin.
Anyone have experience?

Are you sure they replace items even when you're at your origin?
They're just going to let me buy an UppaBaby and pay me back for it?

I flew once CDG-ORD, ORD being home and they delayed bags. I got a $800 suit and more out of it

From the airline?

The kids go in their carseats+GoGoBabyz. No need for the stroller until the destination.

hmmmm not compatible with infant car seats
Nope, we gate checked the UB when the kids were in infant seats.
Heckuva a lot easier to travel with infant seats. Shame when they outgrow them.

When you need to taxi somewhere in London you'd be left shlepping around a carseat rather than being able to attach to a stroller.

Not for delay, but if lost yes

I don't see the difference, Dan needs the stuff NOW
BH I have no experience, was working off stories I heard from friends etc.
I thought it was common practice, even for non DDFers, to go on a returnable shopping spree as soon as bags are lost.
Regarding orgin, it's very possible that the traveler packed expensive items that he or she needs urgently, even in home in the bag (like Dans crib, or maybe his nice shabbos suit). If the airline is responsible, shouldn't make a dif, smdestor orgin

Yup. Infant seats are amazing.
They really did a fantastic job with the UB Mesa

Not with chase,  but Usair paid me for items I needed with delayed bags,  at the origin. Probably worth a call to chase/aa

Wow Dan! You're traveling with too much cargo.

I know you like the gadgets but the GoGoBabyz, double stroller, fold up crib (hotels usually have cribs btw). You need to lighten the load. You only have 2 kids!?!

And that's why we went with the UB (despite it being double the price)

The kids sit in the carseats on the plane, it's just easier that way.
GoGoBabyz makes it easy to do that, but you want a stroller at the destination.

Travel crib fits in closets and 2nd bathrooms in suites that have them and means 1 kid having jetlag won't wake the other.
