Is anyone else nervous that Marriott is going to mess up SPG now that they owe Erin Andrews $27 million? Was I the only one root ing for her to win against the creep but lose to marriott?

No.

Marriott does not own the subject hotel. West End Hotel Partners and Windsor Capital do.

Ruling has no direct financial impact on Marriott international.

Plus I'm sure they will appeal...

Call me an outlier, but I hope Marriott wins the bid. Much more downside risk with Anbang.

Have you seen any mentioned plans that Anbang has, should they win the bid?

I was of the impression that they liked what Starwood is doing and would buy them merely as a real estate investment with no more then minor potential tweaks.

Marriott would most certainly be an overhaul.

(If you have more information about Anbangs plans I'd love to read the article or report. )

Seth made a post like that, how we'll be better with Marriott.
I disagree pretty strongly.

Consolidation is usually not a good thing for consumers.

On a side note, airline transfers are extremely expensive for a program to maintain. Even if Marriott and SPG run as separate programs for a few years, I'd be surprised if airline transfers a 1:1.25 ratio lasts that long.
