i didnt get it a couple of people on milepoint got that using the ls voucher something like 15% tax in sf on 2000$ comes out to 310.50
This is so wrong on many points.
-It's unfair to allocate the entire cost of the deal to the hotel room. Is the Platinum status not worth anything?
-If I paid $0 why should there be tax on $2,000? Think the hotel is actually going to remit that to the tax collectors?
-Living Social only gives Fairmont half of the money for the deal, so for people that paid $2,000 only half of that goes to Fairmont. Why should the entire part be taxed?
If they let me transfer the night I have many charities that have asked for it. Apparently charities don't pay the SF hotel tax and they can give you a tax receipt for the amount paid or the fair market value.
