Theres  a Reddit  thread (r/localguides) that has all info related also@ the end of the year all leval 4s got a Google t shirt (I forgot to redeem in time) and also got to beta test Googles new travel app.

 it's very annoying when people tell me I saw your rating on .....but is worth it imo

Theres 5 diffrent ways to get points, though reviews are the easiest. 200 is level four I think.

It probably does get better at the higher levels but it takes SO LONG to get there now w/ the new point system.
