Are we uniting for a twitter sh*t storm on AA's page? 3:15 EST work for everyone?
TBH they really owe us nothing, no?
I'm not saying it doesn't hurt...

If you’ve got awards to book through the beginning of February 2017, and they’re awards that will get more expensive under the new chart, you’re going to want to do it before March 22 to lock in current pricing.

I'm trying to understand where Lucky is coming from. Wish I got data like that in advance all typed up too :P
Why does he think 321T flights in F will be 32.5K

My reading is that J on the 321T will be 32.5K and F is 50K.

+1

Transcon First: 50,000

Sounds like domestic flights on "aa metal" are staying the same rate for J and F.
(Check the * in the bottom which states: if the award includes 3-cabin aircraft in the u.s. and Canada the milesAAver and AAnytime levels will be 7,500 miles higher then what it's shown in the chart above.)

Looks like Lucky edited his post to reflect that.

I think Dan saw that. There's no mention of AA metal there, nor is there mention that those r the rates for F on a 3-cabin aircraft.

Honestly, I'm surprised those F routes went up so much, but am not surprised J is higher than most domestic Js. To my knowledge, AA has had trouble filling the F seats with revenue passengers. Now they'll have trouble getting award passengers as well.

I wonder if the Citi rebate/reduced mileage awards will apply to the 7500 level... If they stack, this could soften the BA/AA blow.

Its 10% why wouldnt it apply? Up to 10k per year.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

My guess is the former would apply but the latter would not. But it would be great to see both apply.

That’s still not as good as BA even after BA starts charging 7.5K for those awards as BA lets you fly up to 650 miles, BA doesn’t charge a close-in fee, and BA allows cancellations for just the taxes paid.
It's dizzying, but I think it should say up to 1,150 miles.

Fixed, what would you suggest to do to make it less dizzying?

That's still not as good as BA. BA lets you fly up to 1,150 miles for that rate, BA doesn’t charge a close-in fee, and BA allows cancellations for just the taxes paid. And until 02/02/16 (which is when BA's new rules go into effect), you could fly up to 650 miles for only 4,500 BA miles.
