If he would be two hundred pounds lighter he would be the top Republican candidate by leaps and bounds. He is by far the best of the bunch. He is not taken seriously because of his weight.

Utter nonsense. There has been zero evidence that he had any knowledge of the bridge conspiracy. Most people have already forgotten about "bridgegate".

If you believe that his weight has nothing to do with why he's not a serious candidate, then I have a "bridge" to sell you.

I think Christie's been unelectable as a national republican since he stumped with Obama in 2012.

The problem with you is i can never tell if you're serious or not.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Interesting. I would think that would have a  positive effect as far as electability goes, if anything. Looks like he's able to work with the opposition to get things done.

I don't think that was how any republicans saw it. I think they all saw it as willing to play for the other team as long as he wins.

It doesn't matter that there is no proof-it damaged his image and took the air out if his momentum..

What momentum? It was the Democrats who speculated his "frontrunner status" for the 2016 GOP nomination. They then attempted to use "bridgegate" as his "big scandal" to invalidate him.

I stand by my assessment that if Christie would not be morbidly obese, he would be the top GOP candidate right now.

If his obesity effects his electability so much, how did he win in blue NJ?

You don't win primaries with moderation.

Meh. The media makes up a lot of the numbers.

Why would media root for trump? They are all liberals, if they had their agenda in mind they would make Jeb boring bush frontrunner and have him lose to Hillary Rodent Clinton

Local and general elections are two completely different animals. Voters look for very different qualities in their governor than they do in their president.

Since when does a local governor have to face off with Ahmedinejad or Putin etc.?

I agree with that, but that still does not justify a 50%+ to 3% difference

Just my 0.02
The poll above is very inadequate. A. Which poll hides results from non voters? B. Every poll allows voters to change their minds as more and more insights into each candidate come up.
