And what's wrong with Kasich?
Just because he's still running, doesn't mean I have to recognize he exists.
All the other 18 candidates could also be running.

Once you have no shot of winning a majority of the votes, you have no business running.

Of the 4 legitimately running, I hate them all.

If there's a brokered convention, I'd rather Rubio or Romney over Kasich.
I guess I have to hope for a brokered convention by the GOP.

Or that Hillary gets indicted and a sane democrat gets the nomination.

Are these 4 really the best our country has to offer?

Romney/Kasich would be a sweet ticket for a brokered convention.

How come Kasich is the only one polling so well against Hillary?

Am I nuts for thinking that the establishment is behind this because they want the R to unite around him at a brokered convention?

You can say what you think when you think what you say.

Because Cruz is too extreme and Trump is too unstable.
A center right candidate picks up both the right and center votes, hence Kasich's numbers vs Clinton.

Plus GOP insiders can't stand Cruz or Trump...

Too sickeningly establishment for many to stomach.

The tea party has the numbers to influence the nomination, not the general election.

Anyway, Kasich has lowered my taxes and created a lot of jobs here. What has Trump or Cruz accomplished?

FTFY who likes someone who doesn't believe in anything? When was the last time someone won as center right? George W may have touted "compasionate conservatism" but on all other fronts was pretty conservative.

Rubio/Kasich has exactly 2 things that Romney lacked.
FL and OH.

A general election, yes. Head to head polls (which have been relatively accurate and consistent so far) have consistently shown that Trump gets obliterated by Clinton in a head to head, while Kasich has been leading by a sizable margin. These polls are supported by the primary exit polls that have consistently indicated that apprx 1/3 of republican voters would NOT vote for Cruz or Trump if they were selected as the party's nominee. I know many people that typically vote republican that are seriously considering voting for Hillary in this election if Trump or Cruz are selected.

Kasich hasn't done well in the primaries because he's a moderate, but that's exactly what the republican party needs if t hey wants to take over the white house. Both Trump and Cruz lose more people than they bring in, especially in swing states. Kasich would likely win Ohio and could very possibly win several other of the significant swing states. There is no statistical backing or evidence whatsoever to the claim that trump would bring historically blue states in play this election; IMO it is more likely that he would bring historically red states in play.

Disagree with about everything you said here.  The Republicans have been saying forever that a moderate candidate is what they need to beat the Democrats but that has worked in like forever....the polls having kasich beating hillary are meaninglessuntil he is a serious candidate
Romney/Kasich would be a sweet ticket for a brokered convention.
Was that a total joke or you meant Rubio? Even that though is a terrible idea Rubio is to damaged from losing needs time to rebuild. ...
I still stand by my cruz/kasich ticket I think that could really work

You mean he hired a bunch of state employees? Because those are the only jobs he can create. Were you for expanded Obamacare Medicaid in OH? If not he thinks you're going to hell.

He believes private businesses should be forced to cater gay weddings.

If you want someone to lower taxes, Cruz wants 10% flat tax.

Kasich is basically what a Democrat was before they went full on socialist.

Kasich and Romney are empty suits, but at least Romney looks presidential.

10% flat tax is a joke. And Cruz makes me puke. He's the only candidate that I wouldn't let babysit my kids, (now that Carson dropped out  :) )

You wouldn't like a 10% flat tax?

Regardless, the points is, he's for the lowest taxes of the bunch. Kasich is a big-government guy - he's cool with federal tax rates being north of 25%.

Cruz wants 10% tax and a VAT.
Sounds like Europe to me.

Kasich has driven down taxes every year in OH while increasing the state surplus. Some socialist.

I said "before" they went full socialist. I'm not saying he's a socialist - just ok with 25-35% tax rates.

Europe isn't terrible tax wise because they have a VAT. There's nothing inherently wrong with a VAT.  It's that they have it on top of corporate taxes, payroll taxes, and high personal income taxes. Cruz wants to get rid of corporate and payroll taxes.

I'd rather have just a sales tax, and no income tax. But if we have income taxes, I'd say 5-10% is fair. It's enough to pay for the military and a few other necessities. Our main point of contention is probably what we each believe the government should take care of. The tax revenue needs to cover whatever that is.

A country that doesn't take care of the poor is more than just a moral problem. You don't want to live in a country that 30% of the people are hungry and have no housing, think of the crime riots etc. (besides it's immoral. and I don't care if the founding fathers didn't plan on the federal gov having social programs, we weren't as rich then, and frankly thay may have been wrong)
A 10% flat tax is a joke!
