Warehousing master thread
« on: November 24, 2015, 08:31:22 PM »
I could find anything in my search so I guess I will just open a new thread.
I was thinking we should have a thread for all warehousing q.s that come up I know at least by me I keep having a lot of q.s that keep coming up and I can't find any answers.
I will start with 2.
1. I have a full computer cart in my warehouse that has on it 2 printers a desktop 2 screens and a few more small gadgets.
I need it to be mobile right now I'm using 2 UPS backup batteries 1500VA each but they only last me for 30 mins are there any other solutions out there? (Laptop won't work, the warehouse and software is run it needs to be on a desktop with 2 screens).
2. Does anyone know of a good barcode gun mount that can connect to a autopicker without screws?

Get a more powerful battery. The ones that I have at my work for my servers and central hardware cost well over $1000 each. Obviously they will last much much longer.

Why can't you use a laptop with an external screen? Laptops are much more lower efficient.

I found attaching a screen to a laptop to be very easy.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Never tried, i guess that would take a hdmi port splitter or something.

Not at all.

If you need 2 external you can get a usb to  vga converter. You can plug in external keyboard and mouse as well.

Something like this http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/accessories/productdetails/430-3312?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=430-3312 will give you two real monitor ports (needs a dell laptop)
