Monday morning I got up early to hit the slopes while dw slept in. Did some awesome snowboarding from 9-1. Un-be-lieve-able!! The views were outstanding and IMO rival some of the views you get in Switzerland. Definitely from the top 2 or 3 ski resorts I have ever been to. My wife caught a 1230 shuttle from the hotel and joined me at the ski resort just to catch some of the views. She rode up the ski lift with my ticket just to check it out and snap some pics. The Banff Gondola wasn't operational while we were there but I would like to think this was just as good, minus the crowds. After that we went back to the hotel to relax and eat lunch, and then we went walking on Lake Louise. Unfortunately it wasn't set up for ice skating yet, however it was completely frozen over and safe to walk/slide on so that was a cool experience.
Tuesday we got up early and drove straight to the airport. We had a 1 hour stopover in Ottawa, and nearly missed our flight due to an incompetent customs agent who claimed our luggage was missing. Luckily (for us) there was apparently another incompetent agent who allowed everyone to board before doing the standard security sweep of the aircraft, so everyone was forced to deplane, thereby enabling us to just catch our uneventful flight home.
