Antiques
« on: November 23, 2015, 07:04:59 PM »
I work in real estate. I was going through a property my company purchased. I came across some pretty cool things. Unfortunately I needed the place cleared right away, so I was only able to salvage a few things. I'm curious if anyone knows if they have any value.

I got two really old signs (pic) in very good condition, a bunch of random paintings (there were a ton of different ones, I only saved the ones that were next to the safe), and a military plaque with a lot of medals pic)

Is this worth anything?
Found it in a "duct" that is basically a space between the wall of the house and beams.

ETA:
Checked on ebay, doesn't look like it's worth big bucks yet

Take a picture, make it into an NFT, and sell it for $20M

I am no expert but i have a good friend who does a ton of this type of business. From what I gather 99% of old things are not worth very much. Unless it has a significant brand (Coke, Louis Vuitton etc.) or if it is from some famous painter/creator it isn't worth much.
I personally inherited some random items that were actually worth money but it is because the family member I received it from was a collector and bought items that actually had worth.
