I have spg gold and hilton gold.

1) does spg gold get matched to hilton diamond straight up ever?
2) can i match one of them to another program and get something and in turn get hilton diamond?

Really what i'd like is hyatt diamond, and all I have now is spg prefered, so I'm wondering what the easiest way to accomplish that would be:

1) Get an Amex Platinum = Spg Gold -> hilton diamond -> hyatt diamond ?
2) IHG CC = IHG Plat -> hilton diamond -> hyatt diamond ?

Is hyatt even currently offering a status match?

Don't know about ihg plat but I doubt it
Hyatt is not offering a status match now

No, what I'm saying is my status is valid until 2017. Not sure if the status is a one time thing or can be "churned."

Did you contact them to find out why?
