Ok. I just got upgraded to Diamond. I needed to show them that BWR SBA program member's Diamond status does not expire..

I didn't prove a night stay and still went through

Same one. But I guess they didn't enforce it.

I requested Diamond match for hubs and was initially denied. Denial letter essentially stated since we had a lot of stays booked with Hilton the match wasn't applicable. It was for people that used other hotels. I was in a snarky mood, wrote back with the comment, "So if I cancelled my reservations, booked at another hotel, then I would be eligible?" Received a letter backing saying, Congratulations....

Slightly off topic, but is there a practical difference between Gold and Diamond besides for additional bonus points? Golds get upgrades and breakfast too...

that was a different status match now the site asks you  to upload proof

Whoever was status matched in June officially was supposed to keep status until March 2018 (so the bloggers said and so did the confirmation email say)  however on my account page it says if you don't complete more stays your 2017 status will be gold. What gives?

Call to request new card, you should receive instant email stating (hopefully) 2018. Actual card in mail should confirm that.

So you are saying that it's just an error in their system?

Can't comment on your exact situation, but IME yes the online system will only show 2018 if you qualify thru actual stays.
