I told them I heard about the promo and its not working on my account. The first person said sorry can't do anything. The second person double checked all the requirements and then gave me a $10 promotional credit instead.

The link worked and the promo was confirmed but when I go to purchase, I don't see the $10 promo applied.  Does the purchase need to be through 1-click?
