Thankful for the changes Oscar Munoz has set into motion at United. Hopefully he will get healthy and continue to turn things around in 2016.

I'm thankful for all the knowledge I have gained since joining DDF almost a year ago (my 1 yr is coming up in less than 2 weeks). I definitely never thought growing up that I would travel this much in my life (and definitely never thought I would travel business or first before joining).

Am I the only one who's grateful for other things in life besides for DDF, and doesn't believe in observing Thanksgiving?

I'm not talking halachicly now, i just think that there's no special significance to today over any other day to be appreciative for the good in our lives.

From a halachic perspective, the source of Thanksgiving is unclear. It may have been from a pagan holiday, which would make observing it problematic. However, even if that's where it's from, the fact that nobody knows that and nobody observe it as a religious holiday makes it more lenient.

I'm thankful for the USA. It's a generous, caring country. Imperfect, but who's not?
Discrimination is against the law. Allowances are made for religious observances.
Financial help for poor people, even now giving them healthcare. (I disagree with how the poor are helped, but it doesn't take away from the spirit of generosity of the American people.)
