4 days this week

My sister and bro-in-law want to take a 3-4 day trip any days this week (mon-fri) and keep costs under $1000 (airfare (or not)/hotel/food...leaving from NYC)
Any suggestions with kosher restaurant/minyan...

They have at least 50k amex miles and starwood miles avaiable but prefer to hold onto em and spend cash... (plus i have AA/AMEX/CO/Starwood that i would be willing to subsidize)

They were thinking 1 night on the way down to DC, theyd stop in philly and do a category 4 c+p somewhere in philly, and then 2 nights in DC at Park Hyatt  (but hotel is booked and FFNs are hard to come by). 

I couldnt think of anything great on late notice.
Any thoughts on a sub-$1000 4 day trip.  (C+P ideal)

As far as hotels, depending on what category they're willing to go with, you can get some good bargains with Priceline, and this tool will help quite a bit.

If you don't want to bid yet and just want to check prices, there are websites (the one above and others mentioned on the forum) that can give you good ideas of which bids get accepted and rejected by Priceline.

As far as where to go / what to do, that depends very much on them and what they like doing. Are they just looking to get away, or sightseeing, action etc?

yeah...very new...anywhere along the east coast is fair game
minyan/kosher restaurant are a plus
