Hey everyone,

I'm looking into going to the Canary Islands and couldn't find anything about it. I think that such an impirtant destination deserves its own thread!

So... Anyone been there? In the winter?

What's better between Tenerife and Gran Canary?

I have done research on this destination.  According to TA, teneferie is the way to go.

With Zika quickly eliminating year-round beach destinations, the Canary Islands can be a solid year-round option. Some of the islands are drier than others.

I've been to Tenerife and gran canaria and found Tenerife to be more upper class (maybe it's just the places I've been. I didn't check the entire islands).

In gran canaria there's a small sefardi Shul but you won't find any info online as the people there are kinda petrified to be Jewish...

Volcanoes, Jeep tours in the deserty parts and more. What are you into?

There's also a big Karting place that's supposed to be vey good (I haven't been).

I was researching the volcanoes. that looks awesome and of course i would be into jeeping. which part of the island would you recommend. I was looking into Gran Canaria.

No "official" kosher food in any of the Canary Islands. There's probably stuff from the Spanish "list". Btw The island that you're mentioning is one of the smaller ones.

Where can i find the Spanish list? and ya i saw but i think that one worked out best for me. The other one i was considering was grand canaria but ultimately decided on Fuerteventura. Ill let you know how it goes.

@myi Fuerteventura was really nice. We had a great time the beach was nice the resort was amazing. We didn’t really go off  the property besides for the mall, beach and walking the boardwalk. Off the property the town is not as nice. We stayed at the Sheraton Fuerteventura.
