What I did to try to get that option was moving your pin to a different pickup location! Not all locations will offer you this option so try another location...(I mean neighborhood-try moving your pickup location 10 blocks down or to a busy neighborhood and see if the option appears! )

not showing for Los Angeles even looking at many locations i can see it if i switch to new york

For previous give aways you don't need to ride, just meet the driver and pick up your stuff. Although no luck here as demand is high try again.
