My kid tried getting into my Galaxy 5 and after 10 tries it said it erased everything. Looks like a factory reset. Any way to get it back?

Rule of thumb, if you want to try, don't use the phone.
Don't even turn it on!
Every thing you do to it minimizes the chance of getting anything back (I don't know if its even possible in your case)

Getting in wasn't the problem. It did a total reset and I lost everything.

BTW I figured out the my magazine thing.
