Wonder what reasonable explanations for not having coverage on other kids would be. Because there's no price mistakes for boys?

I spoke to a agent that said this was a mistake and was available in every state for a very short time. But the ny law makes it extremely hard to change a LI policy. That is why it is only available if it is signed in ny.
I dont know anything about siblings getting insurance. But according to allstate policy poth parents have to have LI in order to get LI on their kid. So both parents need LI in order to get this. And according to ny law the person applying for LI for their kid needs to have 4 times the coverage so in order to get this deal the mother will need 250k coverage and the father will need 1 mil coverage.

Keep in mind, getting approved for a policy takes time so if both parents don't currently have they may not be able to get it before this 'deal' ends...

There's an עץ יוסף that states that the reason why the gender of a child is hidden from the mother, is because the anticipation to know if it's a boy or a girl helps her with the childbirth.

You should be doing 2 no matter what anyway. There's no reason you should have zero coverage on your wife.

So just induce now.....

Interestingly, R' Moshe held strongly that you shouldn't induce until it becomes medically necessary (haven't gone through the tshuvos myself, but my Rov has mentioned this repeatedly, both privately and in shiurim).

No if you write on the child's application that she has x amount insurance pending it should be good enough.

Correct but if your looking at the same type of policy and around same age your looking at maybe $10 more a month.

Only one parent needs to have insurance (and that coverage has to be at least $1 Million) but all siblings need to be insured. The question is if you can sign up the siblings and then cancel them once your daughter is approved.
