Since where on  the thread, my first time flying KTM > AUH on EY J I was kinda of freaked out especially upon approach and landing,  seeing the dessert and thinking to  myself oh no, this is the land of Osama, "Did I do the right thing or not? :-X" then came Emigration seeing the Emigration officers all in Kaffyah and robes and being nervous, but the Officer gave me such a nice Salam Alekuim and asked me how was mountain climbing in Nepal, from there on  for the few days in DXB it was smooth as silk.

Totally not, most countries people are afraid to go to are because they are Muslim countries not Arab countries.

Including.....

Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Sudan, Libya, Algeria  Etc...

She'd probably go to Morocco though, because it's not in the ME yet it's predominantly Muslim.

Why's there no option in the pole "I wouldn't but my wife would"?
I like vanilla but my name is Venilla.

Via AMM.

Another thing, i had multiple Co worker who aren't Frum that i tried to convince them to fly EK, EY etc.... but were to scared.

I even had Co worker traveling to Milan and tried to convince him to fly EK F, and he refused because it's an arab airline. He ended up taking LH J. (He could have afforded it)

the funny thing is that the FA's on EK (almost all) arent even muslim!

same here, loved the hard product, different cultures etc. But I also understand those who are scared to go even though I dont agree with their logic.

Especially the first class product. One thing I must say is when I went through DXB you felt like you weren't in America.....that's because the airport actually looked nice.

I think we can settle this discussion with this story... If anyone ever asks you if any Arabs didnt try to hurt you etc..

I was on EK DXB-AMM in J on the worst J I ever flew.. Was the A330.. In either case lots of Jordanians, Palestinians, some Iraqi's etc etc boarded the plane.. I didnt look too Jewish.. Before takeoff the FA brings out the KSML & starts asking loudly "who ordered a kosher meal?" Repeat repeat... "Who ordered a kosher meal" Im staying quiet as I didnt want all these arabs to know I was jewish... Everyone is looking at each other who ordered this kosher meal..

Eventually she comes by with a paper (I guess notating I requested it) & says "oh! So it was you!" And loudly nonetheless!

Everyone knew I was Jewish.. Noone said a peeps.. By the way.. The meal SUCKED
