I am hoping so myself. I just got the flights ticketed last night after my attempt to extend the AA hold failed.

My wife already told me that if it doesn't open up she will try to snag me some extra PJ's from First.

I'm in a similar situation. I booked LAX-DXB-JNB. We're both in F on the first leg but DW is in Y on the 2nd leg. It's also for the summer, so I'm hoping another F or at least J seat opens up before then.

I just hope it opens up period. Wether before March 22nd or not, I'd take another F seat either way. At least I will have snagged up one for pre-deval prices.

On that note though, I did come across something weird when checking online:

This picture seems to indicate that the only open F seat for my flight is in fact my seat that I have not selected yet. This made me panic just a bit as I must figure that if all other seats are taken there won't be a way for another seat to open up in F.




Then I checked Orbitz and see that as a matter of fact it seems that my seat is the only one taken out of the CX inventory and that all other seats are still available.



So why would CX show all F seats as being taken/blocked on their website then?

Boy do my plans keep changing.

While I was obsessed with the idea of having to use TG F out of BKK to make this a true Thai experience, I could not pass on D93's discovery this morning.

While it cuts my vacation time significantly (Instead of leaving on the 27th at night Ill be leaving the 26th in the AM) I do get a) close to a full day in Doha and b) I get to burn some pre-deval AA and c) QR F A380 and QR J A350.
