Thanks to Etihad's amazing release today coupled with the AU AA office I have now dropped BKK-DOH (QR F) -JFK (QR J) and turned it into BKK-AUH (EY J 77W) - JFK (EY F A380).

Get the best F there is and add on 12 hours to my stay. Success!

Good for you. I only managed to find HKG-AUH, nothing for BKK-AUH, which would make the timing much better.

LM Chiang Mai is booked for the days Ill be there. Might need to make some changes date wise but have along time out to make free cancellations.

Now I hope I can easily get upgraded to a Suite via SPG Platinum. (Emkay gives me hope )

Now I checked EF for flights going from CNX-USM and have an issue. There are no flights (that I could see or find) that leave after Shabbes that could get me to USM Saturday night in order to give me 2 full days in USM.

Can't do it anymore. PG just terminated their relationship with FB on 12/23/15. Been dealing with this for the past few days. Use JAL, it will be 5k p/p transferred from SPG.

Yup, because you need X availability and EF doesn't show that. But reps are great. I would take care of it asap because they can't hold flights and the max that the system ever shows as open is 4 seats, and it'll take time to transfer. I just initiated the transfer from SPG>JAL today. I can let you know when it comes through.

They'll book you on PG. I found the flights that I wanted on EF (because I was also originally hoping to use FB). Then I just called in and kept my fingers crossed.

As long as PG flies it, yes. JAL allows free stopovers (they can be as long as you'd like). So find out what the total flight distance is for those two segments and then find it's place in the award chart. They'll piece it together into one reservation over the phone. Though I wouldn't rely on your own understanding of the award chart because there are promos now, so when you call to find out availability, ask how many miles it would be pp. Just make sure you tell them to do the free stopover.
