TrueBlue Points
« on: March 01, 2011, 04:07:41 PM »
So I have some TrueBlue points, not a ton, not enough for a free flight, that are set to expire because I haven't flown JetBlue in 12 months. Thing is, I'm going to be flying 4 DAYS after the expiration date, so it seems like such a waste. Any one have any tricks to keep them? (I don't have a JetBlue Amex...) If not, is there anything I can do with them (sell, transfer, etc) before they expire?

Thanks

I believe you can transfer Amex MR points to Jetblue.

250 MR points = 200 Trueblue points

Do the names need to match?

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I believe you can transfer Amex MR points to Jetblue.
can anyone confirm that this will in fact extend the expiration date? From what I understand it's only flying and amex jetblue card activity.

You could also just call the TrueBlue program and find out...

i just transferred enough MR points that i would be able to book the ticket with TB points. (it may not be worth it for you, bear in mind though, that the points will become worthless after the exp date...)

i believe smurf is correct that adding points from MR will not extend the life of your mles.

He is correct. They will not extend it! I learned the hard.way.
But I don't understand the op's issue. If your points are going to expire, book those later flights now.

I could but that would probably mean long wait times, besides I find DDF'ers much more knowledgeable then most (oftentimes misinformed) csr's

the op apparently did not have enough points for a flight, which is why i recommended to transfer some points from amex...

You can do points for surveys those post instantly. Or if you have other family members you can pool together.
