Apple Care question
« on: December 06, 2015, 12:51:25 PM »
I have a Macbook Pro that just ran out of its first-year warranty. I had been meaning to buy Apple Care but never got around to it, and now I realized that I am two weeks past the end of warranty date.

Now, I know that Apple will not allow me to add Apple Care straight up, because they have a strict policy in place that after one year you can no longer add Apple Care. The question is, if I buy Apple Care off a seller on eBay who purchased the license a while back, can I then go to Apple and tell them that I have already purchased the warranty prior to my first-year expiration, but just never added it?

Will that fly?

Why don't you try calling Apple and try (without actually buying yet on ebay of course)
