Many rewards programs have redemption shopping malls, with AWFUL values. You can sell the points, and do what you want with the money.

Many points programs can be redeemed on amazon. Some offer less than .01 per point but chase UR and discover cashback is .01 per point. You could also just get cashback at that rate and buy what you want at store of your choice.
Or you can get GC for your points. Chase UR and citi TY are .01 a point while Discover gives you better value for redeeming for GC, generally a $25 GC will cost $20 of your cashback.
You may also want to consider getting a cashback credit card like citi double cash or fidelity amex, both of which pay .02 for every dollar spent.

I'm not going to sit and count how many 25 for 20 there are, but it's definitely more than a "few." And while there are more than a few 45 for 50 -- and 10% is nothing to sneeze at -- there are also quite a "few" with even greater value, eg car rentals are 40 for 20.

Spg also has good redemptions for Broadway shows through audiencerewards. Especially on shows where they have cash+points redemptions. Not all shows are good deals, but I was able to get tickets to plays that go for $80-100 for 1k spg + $30
