That's what i would think also. LED probably doesn't have a דין אש. Most flashlights these days are LED. That's why the overhead light might be better. (Of course, if you're prepared, just bring the right kind of flashlight.)

i wont comment on the accuracy of the comment, bc i may just not know about such poskim, but i will say the following:
this is why shailas shouldnt be posed on DDF. you have ppl, albeit they may know what they are saying, but they are from different backgrounds. what works for one sect may not work for another.

BTW I once hard a rav tell others (not me directly, but heard in a shiur) that if you're in the airport and must light, you should rent one of those little hourly compartments that they rent at some international airports; that way you have a bed. It's more of a "dwelling" then.

Agree. This precisely the points Im as well trying to make. @gold said that OP should make a Shaliach without explaining the details and OP said will do! DDF should not be your LOR period.

And oh, there are poskim who agree that Direh does not necessary mean that you sleep there, it can also be called Direh if you sleep there.
