Doesn't really work they don't allow mixed cabin awards IME.

If you think this won't cost Aegean a fortune, you're fooling yourself, BazTM

👆 🚨semi-בוּלש*ִט אלעֶרט 🚨. It'll be expensive, probably expensive enough to notice when they review their program, but probably won't cost a "fortune"

you've successfully booked F for 60K? I tried multiple times and they would say since its mixed cabin it split the award. Though it's a while back they change things there all the time..

LX and TK have YQ.
But it seems that AC may not. Though I can't find any AC availability to or from TLV to confirm that route :P

Nobody else with any data points on this from today?
AC is available in Y almost on every flight they fly to TLV. don't need to check further than Dec. 12.
Check Aeroplan, its an old UA bug that wont see AC.

Heh. Aren't you an accountant or something? :P

You're looking at the increased cost of reimbursing partner airlines for award flights, while neglecting to factor in the increased revenue in the form of Starwood's compensation for the miles awarded in exchange for Starpoints. Or have you forgotten that the allure of increased revenue from selling miles to SPG is presumably what got them into this fiasco in the first place?!

At worst, it will all even out; at best, they'll come out ahead.

News to me.
Anyone call to get a quote for YQ on YYZ-TLV yet?

I'm considering both. From a revenue - direct cost perspective, it'll probably be even to a little in the negative for this route. But, that's considered a money loser when most routes are money makers, and airlines hate when certain redemptions cost significantly more than others at the same redemption price. And, there are other costs associated with a loyalty program you are ignoring. Factor in a load for that.

I have checked in the past for all  airlines using Aegean miles, all european airlines charge the YQ, so when using Aegean miles for   TK,LX,SN,LO,LH,OS, all come to about 300 euro or more for the round trip, but with AC and UA the taxes come to about 70 euro round trip, and 60 euro for one-way. And when US Airways was a Aegean partner (even after they moved to One World) the taxes were similar, about 70 euro round trip.

I found plenty of AC flights via FRA, just nothing nonstop to TLV on UA.com

I tried 8 nonstop dates that AC.com shows as available (none of which are on UA.com) and the Aegean phone rep couldn't see any of them, but did have the FRA options.

I said earlier, AC YYZ-FRA had no YQ.

Where do they search for availability? Not on AC because I saw LO there and they couldn't see it.

Appears to match UA.com results.

So I transferred points the day this was announced. Points still have not showed up. They've been deducted from Spg.  Anyone know how long it may take?
