The
FIRST real segment of my trip.
To start off my trip on a high note, and slightly because of the upcoming AA deval, I decided to book Cathay First direct from Chicago to Hong Kong. You have the love the sweet price of 67.5k miles (plus 10% back for AA CC) for a 15 hour ride.

Within a few minutes of being in the lounge it came time to settle in my seat for the next 15 hours. Unfortunately, F was booked solid this flight and was limited to only one seat. But thankfully, the seat is still a magnificent one.

As soon as I sat down the head flight purser came by to introduce herself and let me know if there was anything I need during the flight to not hesitate at all. And not hesitate is just what I did. Soon after she left, another flight attendant came by to bring the every so comfortable pajama's
Cathay Pacific First Class Pajama's.
These are the third pair of Pajama's I have from Cathay and not one is the same color. I would like to make a shout out to the head purser for giving me a second pair as a early "Holiday Gift". Thank you.
After takeout we had about an hour of some fun turbulence which delayed dinner and food from being served. However, when the food came I ended up passing on it as the rubber chicken did not seem appetizing.

Finally, came the most lovely time of the flight, sleep. This could not have came sooner. Being up for about 36 straight hours I was looking forward to some sleep. And sleep I did. I woke up some 8 hours later.
Bed Time.
After waking I decided to hop to an open business class window seat for some treats and to watch the sunset.

Finally, I headed back to my seat for another quick nap which was followed by breakfast and landing.
