Amex started confiscating bonus points earned through refundable tickets

Business MR cards. I heard two reports from the past week.
One that I'm familiar with had several spanning 2 months. Just finished the "spending" on another card. 375k adjusted down to zero and told the reason. Card wasn't closed or FR'd

i have done this many times and twice last month and never had an issue. 375k was not from a bonus. Im guessing they did some other shtick which then sent it to fraud or something.

No. 20k refundable on the 15k plat and the spend on the gold etc.

this may have s/t to do w amex reviewing MR accts for extra points, since they accidentally added thousands to US acct holders, as reported on the blogs. an audit may have showed the refundables as well, and therefore they clawed back
