Tax receipts
« on: December 17, 2015, 02:51:52 PM »
I recently donated a lot of clothing to an unofficial gmach. Anyone know how I could get a tax receipt?

Dunno. But donating clothes is lucrative for taxes
I'm not who you think I am.

Nfp=Not For Profit
501c3 is the IRS Code for a NFP that they have determined that it is a kosher NFP
if they have a bank account they have something
nowadays you can get it cheap (a 501c3)

Large Goodwill and related donation write-offs are up there as red flags to be audited.  Right up there with home office deductions.

501c3 is a type of not-for-profit org that is a charity.

donations to a 501c3 are tax deductible.
donations to a non 501c3 nfp are not tax deductible
