Google + LYFT - Great Combo

I didn't see a thread for this, but Lyft (unlike Uber, sigh) seems to have quite a few promo codes all the time for various forms of rides. I thought maybe we could start a wiki or at least a thread for all of them.

The ones that I know of currently are:

GOOGLERIDE- $10 off your ride to/from the airport, can be used 5 times, but only for select airports. They doubled my promo with another $50...Sweet!

I'm not sure why but folks here don't seem so wild about Lyft. Could be no good reason for it.

I use lyft more often than Uber due to the promos, however
1)Uber is slightly cheaper
2)Uber Pool is far more efficient than Lyft Line. I have been forced to cancel rides waiting to be picked up, or had to travel 15 minutes out of the way on Lyft.
3)There are more Uber cars around me (Crown Heights) than lyft, so wait times are shorter.

Customer service from both is awesome.

I consistently use Lyft over Uber...
The Lyft line with 10 min wait is perfect for when you've paid the check at a restaurant and want to sit a little longer.

Also every Sunday night at 7pm est they email a promo for the week - its usually very specific. this week's is 25% off a ride to LGA...

Only 1000 ppl can claim the deal so you need to be quick!

Yup, GOOGLERIDE code worked for me. Just downloaded the app and signed up and received $10 off next 5 rides valid till may 2nd. Also read that its multi-billion $ company but I never heard about them...
Will try it out now. I used uber a few times but good to see competition now.

If I am not wrong then you share a ride with another passenger on lyftline or ube pool right? Are you ok to share the ride with a stranger? Is it worth?

It was a gamble i used it 3 times and never had anyone else in the car.

Not as much of an issue in NYC area because drivers need to be licensed by the TLC to drive for uber and lyft. But in other parts of the country it is a concern. I personally don't care.

That stranger has been criminal background checked as per Uber. The passengers do not go through through any checks I assume.

LYFT in MIAMI way cheaper as well, together w all their promos, yep big fan

Definitely sounds cooler though to say UBER!

Lyft just extended their  promo of 50% of all rides till next week for the whole city. 3rd extension since last month. They are going all in to beat Uber.
I find lyft cars/drivers a lot better than uber.
