i found this way worked for me, i went to zappos and browsed around until i found a few pairs that i liked. since they dont have the best prices i took down the model/item # and went to the sites with more frequent sales (6pm, shoes.com etc) and searched for those shoes. it worked well for me in the past although it did take some time browsing through all those shoes on zappos. gl

Some family members of mine make nice men's (though mainly women's) shoes.
I won't link to their website (probably a rule or something), but if anyone's interested,
google "marc joseph ny" and browse around.

I may be able to get a coupon code if anyone is interested.
I found them pretty expensive and they only had driving shoes for men

Yeh, they mainly make women's shoe at this, like I wrote above. Just recommending them for anyone that is interested in that price range. I love wearing them myself.

I have no idea if generally drivers fall apart. Mine are keeping up pretty fine.

Rockport is a "shoe company" as shoe companies get.. They're footwear is super comfy, I've been wearing their products for years.  So, I generally agree with most of your statement, but some of your details are inaccurate IMHO.

Was thinking I'd get some flack for that. I guess you are right. I just happened to have bought one of their attempts at a more dressy type shoe recently and had a really difficult time with fit and comfort (tried 3 sizes and two styles and they all felt inconsistent). But usually they are fine.

No company is perfect, but relatively speaking, they're amazing.

Tip: always try a few sizes above and below your size, every shoe has a totally different fit, some run large, some run small.  Try wide, try extra wide...
In addition, every style by them has a different fit, some styles IME may just not work for your foot.  Gotta try around, like by everyone else.

I recently bought 2 pairs of shoes from them, they were 3 (that's right, three) sizes difference between the two pairs, both to be worn on the same (my own two) feet, and both manufactured by the same exact company, in the same store. One pair was size 10, the other -size 11 1/2!!!
I never dreamt I'd fit into anything above 10 1/2, yet, after trying on who knows how many pairs... This is what worked, crazy as it sounds.

In store, they only had wide, I had a feeling I'd feel a lot more comfortable if I  had 'extra wide', so they shipped to me extra wide at no extra cost.
Sure enough I was right, but pairs fit great at extra wide.
So you folks who require wide/extra wide, if I may suggest, try Rockport (and it doesn't lool like a boat ;) )

Reasonably priced? ($9.99 shipping is a bit overboard I think)

If you don't care why would you comment?
