I really like the batch-cooking concept, where all the cooking for the week is done, in bulk, over a couple of hours on Sunday (non work day), and that's what I would be doing if I had a full time job.

Plus, for us Jews, I think it can be easily incorporated into Shabbos cooking on Fri, which would make life even easier

Yep, so far we've got 10 almond crusted schnitzels, 1 baking sheet of roasted zucchini and another of broccoli...

Next will be Moroccan (tomato Sauce & veggies) flounder

That's what I meant by meal prep.

Also, Nom Nom Paleo's spicy tuna cakes (for my husband and baby)

Soft boiled eggs

Maybe some mini cauliflower quiches...

What else is easy?

Yay! And about time...
Honestly, how much does this help? The average American is giving their kids way more added sugar than that. Way more. Even the ones who think they're fairly healthy.
I wish "they" would do more to educate consumers, children and parents etc.

What are you eating?
Salad and protein breakfast, lunch, supper. I rarely eat potatoes or bead.

This is how it starts. Little by little. You got to remember that our "experts" (like the AHA, FDA and ADA) have been hounding us about the dangers of fats for the past 90 years, while completely forgetting (or being paid to forget) to mention refined sugars and grains. It'll take a while for the complete revolution.

Any fat? If you are eating too little you can screw up your metabolism and that'll stop you from losing

I don't know what you mean by "real fat", but fat is an essential (they're called essential fatty acids for a reason) and necessary part of a healthy diet. Also, without the additional calories from fat, you're likely not eating enough.

You need to understand that you don't lose weight by depriving your body of food or forcing yourself to exercise to a caloric deficit. You can't punish your body into losing weight. You lose weight by eating nutritionally beneficial foods, working with your body to help it heal and shed all the taxing, unnecessary pounds.

Maybe try adding some healthy carbs (sweet potatoes, pumpkin, butternut squash, fruits) and healthy fats (1-2 tbsp of oil, or 1/2 to 1 avocado per meal) for a week. Then you can cut back on the carbs, keeping the fats. Hopefully that'll help you overcome the plateau.

Swapped some Enoki mushrooms for noodles in this chicken soup! Inspired by the Udon Miso soup at Day 5 Sushi.

Don't buy them for $5-6 from the expensive kosher supermarkets- you can get them for $1 from the Chinese food stores (down on 8th ave, 53rd st in BP)
