Just a tip-

If you see white build-up on the inside of any urn...
That is not going to let the unit work well and can shorten the life of the appliance.
To remedy...
Fill the urn with white vinegar to at least cover the part that has the build-up.
Either leave it for a day or two or just turn on the urn for a few hours to do a quicker and better job.

Let me know how it goes..

This help really well in those instant electric urns..
If it keeps happening you might want to use bottled water in your urn, it should stop it.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

I use water thru brita filter, and still have a slight buildup (after 3 years of heavy daily use).

Sour Salt (Citric Acid) has similar results without the smell and aftertaste.

Brita is not a very high level of filtering.
