Almost none that I found...

There are other smaller colleges in America that let you "register" online with minimal personal information and give you access to a legit .edu mail.

Just checked my email address & I see that they changed it from .edu to .net

It was $1.99 when I bought it, not $4.99, but it has the make an offer option, so you can try to get the address for cheaper.
